What are some of your ideas to increase layered lighting in my small kitchen – preferably light sources that complement the design and layout?
Ps- I only have two power outlets in this room (one above the white trash cans and another above the counter near the blender)
PSS – just noticed that you can’t see the trash cans. Imagine them on the right side of the picture.

LED strip lighting under your top cabinets to light benches. Get it wired in if you can with its own switch.
Get a light fixture that does not look so builder grade basic. Also, I agree about the under cabinet lighting. What’s above this room? Could you do can lights?
