Chateau Cos d’Estournel needs non introduction, the acclaimed 2nd growth producer has yielded excellent results for years, the 2003 edition is not exception, arguably one of their best this century.
Served at 15°C, decanted for sediment only. Classically Bordeaux on the nose, what tannins remain are silky smooth. Plenty of ripe fruit and cassis. Not sure how much more it can open up but a true delight to the palate. This is not a wine I will soon forget.
Paired with Standing Prime Rib Roast.
