Hi! I’m trying to find a rug for this sort of dining room/kitchen area. I eventually want to put a kitchen island here but of course i’m on a budget and it will have to come later. I don’t know what kind of rug will work without clashing with my living room so some advice there would be great.
Also the daybed/couch feels off, if anyone can provide insight there that would be great too.
Then I would love some ideas to make lighting in here cozy but functional!
Anything helps, if anyone notices anything else feel free to mention.

Get rid of the TV. Hang a projector screen in the same spot and when you’re not watching just retract it into the case. Without the TV there, your energy will be much different.
Did you ask the cat?
