NOT my photo , it does not have the hose attachment as well.
I moved into a place that has this kind of rainfall shower head. The pipe itself is facing downward, so I can’t install my usual shower head. I like the kind with a hose that can detach for easier cleaning. I rent so I can’t change the entire pipe, just the shower head. Is there anything I can do for this or am I stuck with a rainfall shower?

That L “pipe” you’re referring to is just twisted into the wall. You can just back it out and put any “regular” shower head. I did the opposite in my shower and added a long bend to add a rainfall one.
Adjustable shower arm. Add another pipe to the end and boom. You can put whatever style shower head you like wherever you’d like.
