I just assembled the cabinet in the corner this afternoon -tonight. However, I now realize that the floor there is very slanted and uneven. it's tilting!

I used the safety ties it comes with and attached it to the wall for now. I am not sure what to do. My apartment complex is well known for not doing repairs, so I don't think repairing it as an option.

I tried putting those rubber furniture stoppers at the front of the cabinet only to even it out a tad.

the safety ties also look terrible. maybe I should cover the cabinet in a fake ivy to hide it? or the wall behind it? (can do real because of gluttonous cat)

I also am afraid this cabinet looks too crowded but I really need the storage space. Advice? I do like a maximized space but idk if this is too heavy looking or not

Im including pictures of the living area in day time for help brainstorming ideas and to see the colors in the daylight

It’s not the most stylish but if you like it and need the storage then go for it. Could you paint the bracket the same color as the wall to hide it better?

Whatever you do, please don’t skip the wall anchors! With a slanted floor and a cat, that’s a recipe for a tip-over. Instead of the rubber stoppers, look for furniture shims (you can get a pack of plastic or wood ones for a few dollars). They are tapered so you can slide them in until the cabinet is perfectly level, then snap off the excess so they’re invisible.

For the safety ties, if they look messy, try swapping the plastic straps for steel cable anti-tip kits. They are much thinner, stronger, and easier to hide behind the unit. I’d skip the fake ivy; it usually ends up looking a bit dorm room and will just collect dust!
