Hello! I’m getting a framed canvas print (pictured) in one of the 2 sizes I have taped in the pictures in my apartment bedroom.
Dimensions:
– dresser is 70 inches wide end to end, but with the curve measures 60 inches wide from the start of each curve.
– framed canvas size 1 is 48 inch x 32 inch, size 2 is 36 inch x 24 inch
Ask:
General design guidelines say the set should be 2/3 wide of the length of the dresser but man that feels enormous in my bedroom space. Mainly the height for me.
I’m wondering if because the edges are curved here, it kind of feels like a 60 inch dresser instead, and the smaller size won’t feel too undersized?
Let me know which size you recommend, and any styling you’d recommend to go along with it! I am trying to keep the arches open here, and the top fairly uncluttered, but open to some finishing touches!

Definitely bigger! It is a pretty subdued/ calming piece of art so I don’t think it will be overwhelming at all.
Bigger
Go bigger.
The small is too small. You can tell because it’s hung too high/too far away from the dresser which is what people unconsciously do with the art is too small. The larger one doesn’t look too big in the first image, but it does look a tiny bit too too big in the last image. I’d still go for the larger one over the smaller one if these were my only two options. I think you are right about the curved edges of the dresser making it look smaller. Maybe look for something in between these two sizes?
