I was thinking either above the fireplace (although ik that’s controversial and might be too high) or on the empty wall but my sofa would block the fireplace. Any suggestions?
I think that’s your best option. I don’t think TV above the fireplace is the worst. If your couch is far enough back, you’ll be fine. I’m not sure how big this room is, but it seems like the sofa shouldn’t be up against the empty wall and should be in the middle of the room facing the fireplace. I’d put a sofa table behind it and rug in the fireplace space to divide the room.
