Seriously, your friend has good tastes.
This is a fantastic value Sauternes. I had several older Suidrat. Sweet, classic Sauternes flavor profile.
Have sips of it after a good meal, like dessert.
Like your previous post, this is a sweet desert wine , and from the Sauternes region. 2003 is a reasonably good year for the region, not quite as well regarded as 2001 or 2005, but still very favorable. Suduiraut is a very well regarded producer from the region. Sauternes age very elegantly, and at a mere 23 years, this wine would be either excellent now or for many years in the future.
I drank a 1978 from the same producer last year – can’t comment on that vintage but the 1978 was very fun and I imagine the 2003 would be as well.
