I don't have a very big home, 918 sqft, so I am using my dining room as my office too. I am getting 4ft round dining table in a couple of weeks. I want to get 6ft round rug for under the table and I would like it to be the same style as the 6×4 rug under my desk. I just don't know if it would be tacky to get two similar rugs in the same room. I thought maybe similar design but different colored would be ok.

I actually prefer to have either the same or similar rugs when it is in the same space.
This a very good move and most especially to work from home and minimized the space in the room. For a 4 Ft round table and 8 ft round rug is the gold standard. It allows the chairs to stay on the rug even when pulled out.
I would skip the table rug and get a complimentary tablecloth instead. The rug under the table does get dirty.
I would get a solid jute rug maybe? Maybe with a blue trim. I saw a cute scalloped jute rug on Ballard designs with a blue border
