Just moved into this house and this is the living room I’m working with.
The layout isn’t great. On the left there are multiple doorways/entryways so I can’t really put a TV there. Straight ahead is the fireplace, and on the right are windows and a door to the deck.
I’m thinking the only real option is mounting the TV over the fireplace (not ideal), and then doing an L-shaped sectional on the right side by the windows with a coffee table in the middle.
Does that make sense or is there a better way to set this up?

Maybe in one of the corners next to the fireplace?
I know tv too high is a very popular hivemind circlejerk on Reddit, but tbh mounting over the fireplace is probably your most practical option.
Not sure if it’s possible but if that’s just a coat closet under the stairs, you might think about walling it up and putting the TV on that wall. I did that in the entry of my last house and didn’t miss the storage one bit.
How big is your TV?
