Married, 31F & 29M. Moved in a couple months ago & our spaces feel so… empty. Thrifting together has been fun but we keep getting art or trinkets.
Not sure how to execute our ideas properly.
We want to do a ‘groovy’ feel with lots of greens, yellows, plants, books, maybe shelving.
The first 3 pictures of the den will be a room used for reading, hosting friends, serving drinks (bar cart), kind of like a speakeasy vibe?
Last 3 pics are of the dining room. We just got the chairs & table. That’s it so far…
Should also mention: I am 8 months pregnant, nesting HARD right now & we are having a daughter. My husband loves funky art & moody decor whereas I love gardens, piers, pops of color.

the furniture has no cohesion
half of them look antique and the other half modern
The small bookcase is in an odd place. I would put it in another room. A rug is necessary to soften up the floor and give a centeredness.
Are those bookshelves built in? The one on the left looks like it but what about the one in the back?
First and foremost AREA RUGS. This will anchor your room BUT has to be right size. Or it’ll tank the room. [Use this easy guide to see what size you need in those rooms](https://luxslate.com/blogs/home-design-and-decor-blogs/what-size-area-rug-do-i-need)
