I’m working on a small wet bar setup in my loft (hangout/TV area) and could use some input on layout and style.
The wall space is about 55” x 55”, so it’s not huge—trying to make it functional but still look clean.
Right now I’m debating:
All floating shelves
Floating shelves + a small cabinet below
Whether to add peel-and-stick wallpaper as a backdrop (behind everything)
This will mostly be a drink area (liquor, glassware, etc.), not coffee—that’s downstairs.
I want it to feel elevated but not overbuilt since it’s a secondary space.
Questions:
Would you go full floating, or include a cabinet for storage?
Should wallpaper go behind everything or just be an accent?
Any layout ideas that work well in a smaller square space like this?
Open to any design suggestions, finishes, or examples you’ve seen work well.
