Some weeks ago I posted my laundry DIY project that received great feedback and good ideas so I decided to make some changes based on your critiques. I want to thank you all for the help since now I feel like the area is complete and both functional and aesthetic.
Here are all the changes I've made:
1) AI cow is now gone! I've replaced with a panting I've bought to an artist in Stockbridge Market in Edinburgh that is nicely framed in wood and glass.
2) The solid wood shelf is now being used for decorative and non essential items: dry lavanda for fresh scent, wool dryer balls and a fake plant. I'm not a fan of fake plants but the space will always be in the dark and I really liked this one since it doesn't look that fake, has a nice basket and the leaves matches the colors of the walls.
3) No more laundry products with colors and branding. Everything is inside individual containers with labels and scoops. I've put them in a bamboo cart with wheels that block and can easily slide between the wall and the machines if I need the extra space. The machines are closer to one of the walls, leaving a 20 cm gap for the 18 cm bamboo cart that is fortunately not blocking the wall socket. The cart is very stable and I actually do my laundry easily inside without the need to push it away. I also got a candle for the extra scent.
4) Removed the metal plate from the door. The only thing I won't remove because I really like is the wooden laundry sign.
Last two photos are from the initial state and part I of the project. Again, thank you all for the constructive criticism that helped me elevate the space, if you have any more suggestions please let me know!
Have a nice day 🙂
