We recently replaced some furniture. Before we had a lot of black furniture from IKEA, and I’m really liking how the wood tones have made the space feel more cozy. That said, the room feels like it needs some changes to make it less brown. This is my first time trying to put a room together that isn’t just for function so any advice you have is appreciated!!
A few notes:
Pillows: the hatch pillows I thought would be more red but they look pretty much just brown in person vs in the ads.
Decor: I really like brass, black, and amber. It feels like it can blend in but is interesting when focused on.
Side tables: these were some cheap solid wood tables I got as placeholders and I’m not attached to them.
Walls: this is a rental space but I can paint the walls but don’t know where to go with that.
