I posted yesterday about finding 6 of these and whether they’d still be drinkable decided to open one tonight.
Colour was surprisingly still a light straw / gold, so I had a bit of hope.
On the nose there was a very faint fruit note, but quite muted overall.
Taste-wise… pretty flat and dull. No real structure left — you’d have to try quite hard to drink a full glass.
I’ve added my handwritten notes in the second image.
Not really drinkable at this point, but still a fun experiment and brought back a lot of World Cup memories.
Definitely more of a “keep for the story” bottle than anything else.
