I think it’s that everything else has a lot of mass and the table and art on top don’t. You could remove the table or anchor it with some baskets underneath and something else on top. This looks like a reading nook, so maybe a basket with a throw blanket and a stack of books on top?

I actually feel like if you hang the painting higher, like at least six inches higher, it will look better. Right now it almost looks like an extension of the console table which is bulky and does feel off.
