My hubby and I re-did our bathroom when we bought our house 5 years ago. We had no experience with renovations and relied heavily on the contractor, the only requirement we had was that we wanted a double sink vanity even though it’s a small bathroom. He recommended we put the sink and shower vertical from the door. After the project was finished, I regretted that decision so much. I wish we had put the shower along the back wall and maybe a smaller sink. We also fell in love with the backsplash and floor a d didn’t take into consideration that we probably shouldn’t have used both dark tiles. I’m thinking about painting the vanity in a lighter color, and want to change the wall color but I’m not sure about what color to do. Any suggestions?! We can’t redo our bathroom again for a while, we got too many other projects to do.

The gold taps don’t match the black metal fixtures and kind of seem odd. I need a pic showing the full layout of the room
I love your bathroom! I think small decoration changes could go a long way. A funky shaped mirror, more colourful or unique wall sconces, a rust coloured bath mat to break up the black tiles
Painting is one of the cheapest things you can do, along with elbow grease, to change a space. Towels and rugs may change how you feel about. Other options include swapping out mirrors and light fixtures. Hardware and faucets are another way. You have a really nice space and, probably more options than you may realize 😊
One larger mirror instead of the two smaller ones I think would help too
Do you have a really harsh overhead light on? I feel like that is making everything look shadowy and unpleasant to look at. Other than that: the TP holder, towel rod, and shelf over the toilet is all too much. Hand towel should be on a hook/loop next to the vanity. Shelf should be replaced with one piece of artwork, and replace the industrial looking TP holder with a regular one, no shelf
Those gold faucets have to go, then the mirror and then those light fixtures.
