So, 1&2 pic is to give general ideas of the wall/floor/furniture colors. The place is still a mess and there are random things here and there (like that non-decorative pillow on the accent chair or the boxes hidden behind the chairs), but you get the idea! Grey wall, somewhat ashy floor, bunch of beige, grey, white, mostly light colored woods… basically bit too neutral (but slightly on the cool tone side of things) as of right now.
This is a small, one bedroom apartment unit. The livingroom leads/opens right into a very small kitchen area with zero space division, so I am using my folding table as a space divider. I did measure things carefully so 8’ square rug should work perfectly… (The cabinet runs 9’ 2”.)
I AM looking for something cheap, printed, just something thin to spare me from the raw floor, and something that can serve as a background layer of color. I want greens! But I am having trouble choosing the right green! (I plan to bring in green pillows and put green-containing painting on the wall, and I have small plants that are currently sitting outside the picture.)
3&4 pic is for “muted green” color. I think it would calmly fit in the place, but I am afraid that the real thing would be closer to grey than green. I mean, subtle green would still be green, but what if it is too subtle?
5&6 pic is for “green/yellow” color. I love the color itself. It is bright and refreshing! But then I am worried if it would clash with my slightly-cool neutrals, and would make the place look crowded.
So… muted green vs green/yellow? I would really appreciate any input!

The muted green feels more versatile and neutral. If it’s not green enough, you could always add more green accents like pillows, blankets, etc. I’d go with the green/yellow if you’re going for a more fun, vibrant feel.
