You get what you pay for. Gabbiano makes a gran selezione that blows this crap out of the water, but it’ll set you back twice the price. The oro is like entry level, lacks a lot of the complexity the high end stuff has

Not really. I’ve had regular Chianti Classico that was more complex than this bottling. It’s not bad, but top tier Chianti can get so much better, see Castello di Ama or Fontodi.
