Melding two uses/vibes in this space with one color scheme: home gym and Victorian era billiard room/“whiskey lounge”.
Walls will def be SW Vogue Green. Half my family thinks I should go with dark (like SW Greenblack) ceiling and other half thinks lighter color like SW Natural Choice, Alabaster, or similar. Will have heavy curtain dividing space when gym not in use.
What’s your first reaction to each ceiling color?
Edit to add that this isn’t the final lighting scheme. Just work lights. Will have pool table light, sconces, and more gym lighting and mirrors

Dark is looks awesome
A few gym’s I’ve been to have dark ceilings, I find it less distracting but it’s a personal choice honestly… Have you considered doing it the same green as the walls?

Dark seems too heavy emotionally. Light offers a better contrast overall though it seems less dramatic. But that is just my opinion.
For Gym vibes dark
For Victorian billiard room, do a dark wallpaper, then add a cool room divider for the gym side
I like dark but do same color as walls in a flat sheen.
