We took on a 100-year-old house earlier this year, and honestly… it was a lot more work than we expected.

There were moments we thought we made a mistake — old wiring, uneven floors, layers of stuff that had been sitting there for decades.

But at the same time, we really wanted to keep the character of the place. The goal wasn’t to make it look brand new, just… better, and more livable.

We kept as many original details as we could, and tried to blend them with a more modern, comfortable style.

Not gonna lie — it was exhausting. But seeing it now, it actually feels like a home again.

Would love to hear what you guys think.

If you don’t mind sharing, how much did you do yourselves and how much was done by professionals?
