I bought this in an estate sale, it is the first sparkling riesling I have ever had. It smells of an apple orchard and tastes the same. It has a huge amount of acid and I can’t get enough of it. I wish I had a case of this stuff. I’ve never knew sparkling riesling could be so good!!!

It’s a “private label”, wine made by A but labelled by B, in this case B is a hotel (but could be a restaurant, supermarket, …).

Your tasting note also fits a lot of Riesling Sekt, so most Riesling Sekt you find will likely be quite similar. The tricky variable is age: Riesling including sparkling matures rather well. But most wines on the market are probably a good bit younger than the one you just enjoyed and will thus taste a bit less developed.

Thank you! I will definitely be on the lookout for more of this style. I couldn’t find much about it. I will have to do a lot more research on this… what a gem. It will probably be hard to find another one with some age on it.
