Hey all — looking for some honest feedback and ideas to improve my family room.
Please ignore the clutter for now (real life with a busy household 😅). I’m more focused on layout, proportions, and overall design direction.
A few things I’m unsure about:
- Does the furniture layout feel balanced? (TV vs fireplace vs seating)
- The TV is currently off to the side — should I center it or keep this setup?
- Is the artwork above the fireplace the right size/placement?
- Lighting feels a bit uneven — any suggestions to improve the ambiance?
- Anything that feels “off” or could be elevated (rug size, colors, decor, etc.)?
Some context:
- We use this as our main family space (TV + lounging)
- Fireplace is more decorative than functional
- Open to moving things around or making moderate upgrades
