Exterior brick and siding are two tones of grey as shown in photo. The front door (not shown, to the left) is white like the windows but will eventually be changed to black. I never paint or use any solids on exterior woods, so I'll be looking at a semi-transparent penetrating stain product. Surface grime will be properly cleaned up before doing.
I'm considering black for these 2 posts, thoughts? Or would you go for a clear stain and stay with the wood tone?

I was going to recommend espresso brown, same as the patio furniture
