I got curious and tried to look up the vineyard/brand/estate/whatever the term is for this wine cause it’s an old vine and a Prädikatswein and I wanted to see how it was so cheap (in my uneducated opinion). However, I couldn’t find any website for Jacob Heims. I tried looking up the “bottled by” code, but that also didn’t locate anything.
I assume I’m being stymied by the language barrier and this is somewhere on the German side of the internet, but I don’t know how to effectively search that side. I’m also SUPER new to the wine world. All I got is a vague notion of what broad types of wines there are and the knowledge that Prädikatswein is a special type of vine and in the 80’s a bunch of Austrians put glycol in their wine because climate change made the vines drop their grapes before they could get that luscious title and accidentally poisoned thousands of people and the environment and then lead to a REALLY good wine market in Austria. Does anyone have a link to this brand’s website (if they have one), or know how long they’ve been producing wine, etc?
