As you can see our kitchen is in need of a MAJOR makeover. We moved into this house right before our first baby was born (yellow and orange walls were here before us😂), followed soon by our second, which delayed a much needed renovation. The farmhouse trend was big when we moved in and we live out in the country, so we were gifted a lot of this type of wall decor, which we are definitely getting rid of. We are definitely painting the walls a creamy white and the paneling a light beige color, doing a white quartz countertop and white or cream colored subway tile but I am at a loss on what to do with our cabinets. Updating hardware and light fixtures. Unfortunately new flooring isn’t in our budget right now. We are torn with either staining the cabinets darker or painting them a sage green. Open to any other suggestions to freshen up our space. I love a classic look and definitely don’t like the modern, grey trend. thanks in advance!

It’s too bad the cabinets clash with the floor because I think they would look lovely left as is once you get rid of the garish wall colors. But with your floor being so red I would avoid green on the cabinets or you risk permanently christmasfying your kitchen. How about a soft teal blue?
