Hi everyone. We're currently renovating a 1920 house and I'm at a loss on what to do with the fireplace. Because of the way the chimney is structured, the fireplace is partially "protruding" into the living room, so it needs to be tiled or otherwise decorated on 3 sides. I've attached sketches of the living room just to give you a general idea of the layout and design we are going for. The floors are already in – natural oak chevron. Walls are painted in BM Simply White. The furniture and rugs on the images are just placeholders, but it will be something similar. The wall molding is optional.
My current idea for the fireplace is this deep green cylindrical tile, which I love, but I'm not sure it matches the rest of the décor. If I do end up going for it, I'm gonna tie in some green in the rugs and decorations, and plants of course.
I'm open for any suggestions, both for the fireplace and the design in general.
Help me make this living room awesome! Thanks!
