We’ve lived here for a year, and I’m still paralyzed by the blank space in our front room. Begging for suggestions!! I added pics of the entrance and adjoining dining area to give an idea of the vibe, which is…nothing specific, really. Please help. (And ignore the mess, we’ve hit our millionth round of preschool illness this year and haven’t had the energy to reset.)

    Painting them a color so they aren’t stark white blank walls is the first step. That can be a tricky project with a preschooler, but your house doesn’t look messy at all so I think you’re managing really well, but can probably tackle a painting project. Generic suggestion of what to put on the walls after they are painted would be picture frames and family photos until you start filling it with art that suits your style as you discover it.
