I’ve been living in this apartment for almost two years now, and my bedroom has always felt so dreary and lifeless. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to redecorate this room. I’d like to make it a little more comfortable and cozy, like in picture 5.

Maybe add a rug and some wall art to bring it to life.
For starters, hang some curtains, put some art on the walls. The bed’s headboard appears to be sitting too low. There is often a height adjustment on headboards. See if yours can be raised.
