My wife and I opened this local Bordeaux blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot last night.
Beautiful nose with notes of dark, juicy boysenberry, maple bar, coffee, tar, acetone and a hint of Constant Comment tea.
Palate was supple and velvety, with mouth-coating tannins and beautiful acidity, continuing the boysenberry and coffee with orange peel.
Long legs, garnet rim, deep ruby coloration.
Long, lingering finish.
16% alcohol, but not noticeably hot.
