Hi! I’m trying to choose pendants for my kitchen island and would love some advice. My island is charcoal, my cabinets are white, and my countertops are white with subtle charcoal veining. My bar stools are camel colored. The island runs parallel to my dining table, which is a retro/MCM style set. Overall my style is mid-century modern, boho, transitional, and a little eclectic.
I used AI to help me visualize so the layout isn’t right but the colors and elements are. Which one should I choose? I’m mostly stuck between choosing white or black. I’m worried white will wash away into the cabinets but I’m worried black won’t look good. 😵💫

I vote for the black pendants. It’s a nice balance between the black on the bottom of the bar stools and the white counters.
1 & 3
3 or 4 IMO- the gold accents really brings things together

#1 by far!
1 look amazing
3 drew my eye around the room
First ones win for me. Look like Tom Dixon style.

I like the black ones. but fwiw I had similar ones in my kitchen but the gold interior cast a glow that made my island feel like a carving station at a buffet so I ended up swapping them out
1 love the brass inside and I think the semi circle softens the space a bit, less angular, the eye can rest.

I actually prefer the 1st picture w the black pendants. Adds some nice drama

1 if you want the island to be the center. 3 if you want it to gel with the other things in the room.
Option 3
#1 for the Contrast

1 or 4 I’d say, the black really makes the whole kitchen pop
The black is too jarring. All you see is pendant. They should blend not be the focal pieces
First one – moody, second one – elegant, third and fourth read ‘diner’ to me. I say 1 or 2! Lovely space!
I like 1 & 3 as well.
