I am looking to improve this landing. It's a sea of doors (8 in total and a sliding farm style door). I am open to painting.

There is only one bit of visible wall space at the end so thinking of a nice art piece and a narrow piece of furniture like a bench or something. There is also space above the stairwell for some art. There is also wall space behind the sliding door but it's open most of the time.

The floor is an odd shaped (probably to accommodate all the doors 😅). Would a straight up and down runner work or should we get a custom shape cut?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Do you need the door at the top of the stairs for any reason? It feels unnecessary, and you’ll likely want to keep most of the other doors if they’re functional for the rooms. I think also the style of your doors themselves are a bit visually busy, but not sure it’s worth the money to replace. Could always just keep them more open!

I would get rid of that barn door immediately

That is a lot of doors. A runner and maybe a small round rug or a square in the odd shaped area. A plant someplace and possibly paint the doors…or the ceiling.
