The living/dining room area doesn’t have any windows besides a sliding glass door. I think the layout I have currently for the living room makes the most sense logistically, but it’s super ugly to me, and I feel like it could be better. I don’t know if I need a completely different layout, different furniture, or a combination of the two, but any and all suggestions are welcomed.
Important information:
There is 0 (zero) lighting in the living room. There’s no overhead lights. I have a dim lamp on top of the record player and Christmas lights on the blanket latter but they’re weak. I want to add either a floor lamp or a good table lamp, but I have nowhere to put either of those.
There is a socket behind the bookshelf that we can’t use currently because we can’t reach it. Theoretically we could put a light there, but would obviously need to move everything.
Since everything is carpeted, the bookshelf needs to be in a corner/against stuff because it isn’t super sturdy and our cat likes to climb it.
Please help!
