Notes are short- limited to last nights memory
2005 DVX
Very yeasty nose. Palette was very nice though. Apricot and fig
2015 Peter Michael Les pavots
Beautiful Bordeaux style Napa. Hints of olive, sage brush, plum and cedar. Subtle but full mouth feel and an elegant dancing finish.
2016 Lerner Tench
Velvet tannins, vanilla, Cassis and blueberry. Crescendo finish into a gradual relaxation .
2021 Brion moon mountain
Bold but smooth for its young age. Eucalyptus, baking spices, mocha and coffee grounds and lime stone. Strawberry and cassis. Powerful finish that dropped off quicker than the older wines – bolder acidity
2014 forthright merlot
Compared to what came before held its own as a nice merlot. Fruit forward. Strawberries and plum , with oak and lavender in the back.
1992 mercury grand cru
A decade or so past drinking . Cork was toast and it was pretty close to vinegar.
2005 chateau Corbin
Cork taint unfortunately ruined this one. Cork was in great condition and it could have been special if cork taint didn’t ruin it. Wet cardboard / dirty dog
