We can’t decide what to do with our family room TV area. It’s in the corner of the room and it’s a little janky at the moment. We don’t really like the TV over fireplace aesthetic, plus we don’t currently have any mounting points drilled in the brick.

We made a couple renders with AI, exploring a built in corner cabinet and one flat across the back wall. The main issue being the best viewing angle for TV would have it be in the corner. Most of the seating area is diagonal from it to the right of the fireplace.

Any opinions on the corner cabinet? My wife thinks they aren’t the best look. But it is practical.

  1. If you watch the TV at an angle, get the angled cabinets. It looks nice, feels like it’s integrated as part of the fireplace, and it’s a good solution that makes it feel intentional while not sacrificing usability. It also makes really good use of the space… no contest here, IMO.
