Hello! I have this wall opening between my kitchen and living room and I'm trying to decide what to do with it and I’d love some ideas.
Options I’ve been thinking about:
- installing a glass window
- adding shelves with books
- adding small wooden doors/shutters
- closing it with plexiglass and adding some decorations
- using it as a serving window to pass food from the kitchen to the living room
- maybe even turning it into a built-in aquarium in the future
I’m also curious how difficult each option would be to install.
What would you do with this space? Any creative ideas or practical solutions are welcome. Thanks!!

I+d say a service window with strong shelf that can hold an aquarium. It gives you option too if you decide for a bookshelf.
I think glass and plexiglass might look incoherent with your space.
