Depends where you live. If you live somewhere with grey wetness a lot of the time, I’d go for some warmer tones. Whatever you choose, make sure it is more of a neutral colour, then whatever art and furniture you have in the future will all go with it. I have a lovely off-white in my livingroom, that has a bit of yellow in it, a nice warm colour (called vanilla ice cream) and I’ve loved it for almost 25 years living here. No yearning to change it. My winters are cold, dark and grey so it’s good. And, any art I want to put in here looks good.

Paint the ceiling in a real ceiling flat paint, that shine is awful. The walls are fine from the pictures.
