Hi! I’m a first time homebuyer and I have no idea what I’m doing lol I have this nook in the guest bedroom above the door. I have a few questions: does this look tacky? I’m also wondering if I can continue storing things up there? Any reason why I couldn’t? I’m storing things we don’t need, so a few old books, knickknacks, a comforter, unused picture frames, summer clothes, etc. all very random things which aren’t very heavy by themselves but if there are four or five bins up there, I’m concerned it could get heavy and be an eyesore. Looking for feedback!

I think if you have matching containers it won’t be an eyesore! I would also want to store things there.
I have no idea how one would go about making sure it works structurally though. Did you get a home inspection? Maybe that says something?
