Hi everyone. I just want to share my thoughts and see what you all think about this matter. The other day I found a bargain at local outlet store, where this Lan Rioja reserva 2017 was about 7€ (Spain) when it normally costs around 14€. Then, doing some research I found out why, the brand have undergone a heavy re-branding and also changed all the labels. So they put all the old bottles on outlet stores for half price.
The wine is pretty good (value), classy, aged well, nothing beyond extraordinary but enjoyable, although is not the style a love most, yet all you expect from a classic Rioja style.
But my question is, what you think about the re-branding Lan has done. I've navigated the site and they added a quite informal and casual style to all the content of the site. Maybe a bit forced. And the label design… perhaps gone too far with the design?
I understand they are facing challenges (all the classic brands and the region as well), specially with wine comsumption dropping among young people, and that movement is clearly on this direction. But still, if you make classic Rioja, isn't it what you expect when you look for a bottle?
What you think, risky, brave, well made, or bad direction?

Rebrand sucks, much preferred the previous labels to the bland new ones
Personally I dont like when labels change. Especially when they try and be too simple/modern.
The new Lan label looks very generic and boring. The old layout and font looked way nicer imo.
HATE the new look. We got the lan a few yrs ago close out with a waiter’s cork screw (that was a bonus we weren’t even aware of). It was decent as an every day drinking wine. My bro in law’s girlfriend loved it.
