Never heard of it. Do you have any tasting notes? I learn a lot here, often what bottle to get next!

If you’ve ever heard Baga is Portugal’s Nebbiolo I think this is it, VPuro Bairrada Outrora Clássico 2018. It’s the first thing that came to mind when I tried this bottle, yet despite the parallels. Structured with grippy tannins, floral aromatics (rose), it’s also a disservice to this beautiful wine to imply that its derivative of something else. It stands tall on its own two feet. This is as elegant as it comes, beautiful nose of rose, earth and cherry. The palate skews darker with black cherry, thyme, lemon acidity. Perfectly balanced, totally enjoyable now – which I did with birthday Wagyu strip steak and skirt steak, perfect pairing – but can go way way ahead. Nuno Mira do Ó is such a talented producer, I’m also a fan of his SOU alvarinho with Qta de Santiago. I got this from bottle in Lisbon a couple years ago and I’m glad I laid it down for 2 years.
