Opened for about 30 minutes.
On the nose- Raspberry, oak, maybe just a touch of smoke. Really pleasant to swirl & smell.
On the palate- on the dry side, tannins run through like a leather belt on the tongue. Nice ripe red fruit & acidity to balance with a hint of smoke, oak carrying through.
On the finish- Leaves a bit of peppery heat on the tongue. Maybe reminiscent of some menthol on the tail end of the palate. This one sticks with you & coats pretty well.
Recently got into learning, appreciating, & discovering wines from around the world, so I gave it my best shot. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. What are you drinking?
