Tyrell's Hunter Valley semillon 2024
Pale straw color in glass
Nose brings lemon limes zest green apple, herbs minerals, white flowers
Palate zippy acidity very refreshing this is my first time trying semillon it reminds me of savigion blanc with the volume lowered not as grassy or fragrant but i still get citrus and apple with a decent texture on the palate 11.5% abv 91 points 17.99 great value

Infanticide.
I find young Hunter Semillon (like young Clare Riesling) tart and one dimensional. Give it 10 or 15 years and it’s superb.
This is one of my favorite Australian whites at this lower price point. Easily worth buying.
People say it’s age worthy, but I donno, never tried aging one myself. But if I’m purely assessing it from how it tastes today, it’s well worth the money
