Enjoyed at Velvet 48 in Burlingame. Stellar wine list!
You can tell this is Oakville out the gate.
Lots of dark cherry, plum, blueberry, young peppercorn, graphite notes.
Nice acidity, still young with lots of tannins, but those mellowed with time in the decanter.
Didn't need food, but went well with pizza.
I'd recommend an hour decant before drinking this.
