    depends on the food, but the albarino is mostly a light fruity wine to start and from there on you can go for heavier ones. what tickles me is the menu itself, its gross

    If you are both beginners I would order a few of the 3 oz pours to start to see what you like. Maybe 2 whites, 2 reds to start each? Could even pick a theme like all French or all Italian etc.

    Sweet beginner wine: Lucien albrecht Riesling. Lots of cool stuff and great values on there, but that’s the best option considering your request.

    It appears this list hasn’t been updated in 5 years (most recent vintage shown is ‘19, but current vintages of those wines would be ‘24), so I wouldn’t worry about exact options until you get there.
