We are considering renovating our living room wall to make it more visually appealing and incorporate built-in storage. Symmetry suggests the TV should be mounted in the centre, however it is lined up with the couch placement (lower right bottom) as that is what works with the open concept kitchen that is beyond the photo border. In an ideal world we'd mount the TV, likely over an electric fireplace/mantel, but can't figure out if that would look terrible being off-centre in the room.
