I’ve got a half-dozen bottles in the cellar of wines that Paul and Jackie Gordon oversaw. Among them, a couple of the 2018 Petite Sirah that are showing beautifully now. Dark, inky, and glass-staining with long legs. This wine is redolent of dark berry, cedar, and terpineol, and leads to a generous palate of dark berry, cigar box, potpourri, and cracked pepper with juicy acidity and very fine tannins. This has a long, full finish, and we’re enjoy it slowly over the course of the evening.

Outstanding wines. They were friends and I was sorry to see them go.
