Anywho, had a line up of some local bangers to end an awesome Super Bowl in San Francisco. Showcasing some, in my opinion, fantastic pinot from a few Sonoma County winemakers.
– 2024 Hirsch – Bohan-Dillon
– 2021 Anaba – Soberanes Vineyard (St. Lucia Highlands)
– 2021 Anaba – Las Brisas Vineyard (Carneros)
– 2020 Gary Farrell – Rochioli Vineyard (Russian River Valley)
While the Hirsch was a fun start, fruity yet balanced, I think the most interesting was the Las Brisas from Anaba. Maybe some raw garlic right out of the bottle and a somewhat angular in structure ? But really settled nicely after a half hour and left with some earthiness and jammy dark fruit.
