Design help: window treatments, furniture color, rug pattern/color

First pic is the room in question. Second pic is the kitchen, which the room in question is adjacent to. Last picture is included of the home when it was staged to show floor accuracy, before I used ChatGPT to remove the furniture which caused weird screwiness in the flooring.

Also note that the pictures are a little enhanced from the initial listing…. The wood floors and fireplace are darker.

I SUCK at design and have no idea what would look good. I don’t have a style preference I don’t think… just want it to look well styled and inviting.
