My oldest to date! An exceptional experience. Here’s to hoping the other 2 bottles I got hold up.
Nose: a little funk initially, surprisingly. Didn’t last. Perhaps I’m mis-identifying. Sweet, sweet campfire smoke, spice, fresh moss, damp forest.
Palette: beautiful velvet texture, just beautiful. A little cherry wood, overripe red fruit, (there’s still fruit!?) spice, burnt cedar, almost apple cider-y, fully integrated tannins. Very smoky. Some minerals. All about the texture on this one. Lasted a few hours, couldn’t tell if it was dying off or just evolving into something I like less… texture got a little harsher with air, much less defined as a whole.
Anyone know anything about this producer at this time?
