The trim is 4.5” (will be around the doors and the window).

How many inches above the trim?

Ceiling is 96”. Width of room is 120”.

Across the entire wall height would land just above the door. Look up common curtain lengths to help measure!

Mount the rod across the expanse of the whole wall. I would do 3-4 panels of draperies. Make sure they are full, and not skimpy. When you draw them, you should have a lot of fabric left over on the sides.

The curtain rod should be an inch or two from the ceiling… much more elegant

How do you balance that with enough natural light in the room. I always struggle with that. If the curtains have too much volume, even when they are open, much of the window on either side is blocked.
